Gary has multiple skills under his belt: he's a trainer, a doctor, a professor, an archeologist, a powerhouse, a beast, a monster, and he's better than even Pelador when it comes to Das Ladies. Kaiba gets destroyed.

Kaiba had to fight off bullies when he was a child to protect Mokuba. He has some experience in playground fighting, at least. I don't remember how it went, but he also had to fight Tristan at one point during the Virtual World arc when Tristan was possessed by Who f***ing Cares.

I don't recall a single feat that displayed Gary Oak's prowess in a physical encounter with another human.

Tristan was a bully before he got bullied and saved by Yugi, wasn't he? It's kind of believable that he'd have some street fighting skill, at least. He may be a replaceable, largely irrelevant character, but that's mostly because he had no skill in the theme of the show. Make it about fighting and he'd be in the top 10 probably.

Why is Bakura so high? He not only lost to Tristan, he was blitzed before he could even react.

And Tristan has no skill, Ushio beat the piss out of him, all while Tristan had Joey as backup. So what, is Ushio now the supreme king of hand to hand?

Hell, if we're going to go with actual skill, the fact that Marik uses a knife makes him better, as only Kaiba has used a weapon(tossing cards like shurikens in the manga). No, picking up a stick doesn't count

And we have Joey the tough guy. Kaiba's nonchalantly pushed Joey down to the ground more than once throughout the series. Kaiba is older anyway. Gary's like 10. Kaiba would kick his a*** without letting up on that pissy expression he keeps all the time (love it).

Joey got pwned by Ushio despite Tristan backing him up, he's not a tough guy. Kaiba wins in a fist fight, but only due to age and Gary having no skill shown at all. And pushing Joey down doesn't mean much, Joey slugged Atem across the face and knocked him over, doesn't mean he'd win

Lazer hasn't seen season zero~
Joey is actually a really good fighter, so is Tristan. But even Tristan lost to Kemo in duelist Kingdom. The same Kemo that Kaiba promptly stomped the next episode. It'd actually be Seto Kaiba > Joey Katsuya >/= Kemo > Tristian >> Anyone else. Bakura is a non-factor. The fight between Nezbit possessed Tristan and Kaiba was from the virtual world arc. Highly filler, moderately non-canon. Not quite as gross as that whole Fourth season, which was NOTHING but filler but you know.

I did see Season 0, Ushio made Joey and Tristan look like fools at the same time. That's hardly impressive when these supposed tough guys team up and then get owned by a guy who's only in one episode(unless you count 5Ds)
